Union Food Court Set to Open Imminently… Sometime in 2019

Great news on the food front for commuters and those that frequent the Union Station area with the imminent opening of the Union Food Court.  Originally scheduled for completion in 2015, the budget has now risen from the projected 640 million to over 824 million with a delayed opening to occur sometime in 2019.

The new digs will offer a unique food hall experience (market and food court combined) to the 300,000 people who pass through Union Station on a daily basis, as well as those area residents and workers nearby in a slick modern space featuring large TV screens for streaming major events.

There will be 10 food vendors: Wvrst, Loaded Pierogi, Roywoods, Bangkok Buri by Khao San Road, Shanghai 360, Scaccia, Paramount Fine Foods, Sushi Stop as well as your standard McDonald’s Pizza Pizza and Tim Horton’s.

PSST….. Here’s a sneak peek from the constructions site
