Restaurant Makeover TV chef cries fowl

The resto biz is treating David Adjey very well, thank-you, if the brand-spanking-new Ducati motorcycle parked out front of his just-opened Chickery (130 Spadina, at Camden, 647-347-2222, thechickery.com) is any indication.

Adjey’s been out of the kitchen trenches of late, preferring high-profile gigs on the Food Network and shilling for cheese and potato chips instead. Who wouldn’t?

But the former personal chef to Dan Aykroyd was front and centre when the Chickery opened for the first time Tuesday.

Whether Condoland will pony up the necessary $27.12 for a two-pound Beretta Farms rotisserie bird with the distinct taste of bacon and a side each of macaroni ‘n’ cheese and collard greens remains to be seen but the operation — a partnership with What A Bagel’s Danny Farbman — looks like the first of a franchise from here.

Swiss Chalet, watch your back!
