Have you checked out La Carnita on Twitter lately? Foodies and art lovers alike will be happy to know that the people behind Toronto’s most elusive pop-up taco shop are holding a free one-night art exhibition at the Evergreen Brick Works this Friday, April 13.

Titled “UNO,” the exhibition features over 20 international and local artists showcasing works inspired by the Mexican Dia de los Muertos festival. As always, works are accompanied by La Carnita’s famously delicious tacos. Many of the artists will be in the house, including Mike Giant and Sam Flores. And of course, live music will be provided by Toronto’s Mastermind and DJX.

La Carnita has also linked up with new luxe car service UBER to offer $15 off rides to the Brick Works. Just enter the promo code “UNOLACARNITA” when you sign up on UBER’s website. If you really need a free ride, keep an eye on La Carnita’s Twitter feed, where they’re giving away free rides all week. Failing that, you can just walk.

Friday, April 13. Evergreen Brick Works, 550 Bayview Avenue. Free. Visit lacarnita.com for more information. 7 p.m.
